If I select yes, then my HDMI says "No Signal/Weak Signal". Good luck! It was taking a long time to download that too, so I changed the channel and watched some TV for a while. It's about 5 years old though. https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/128461/hdmi+port+not+working+after+powersurge

Replacing the HdMI calls for replacing the entire motherboard. My AV connection stopped working a while back so I just connected the HDMI connection and haven't had a problem (I haven't tried using the AV connection sense then). Before I knew this I lost my xbox 360's ethernet input because of cable internet.

The first replacement might have been from regular warranty. I've tried a different cable, and I've tried a full factory reset. Good luck. Other than that you might have to ship it back to Sony. #2 Spydermag68, Jul 16, 2012 Slick5150 Diamond Member Joined: Nov 10, 2001 Messages: 8,758 Likes Received: 2 You
I will probably stick to optical and multi-AV. do I have to use optical for audio? release The PS3 should power up and now ask if you want to use HMDI.
