- If so, there's probably an issue with spacing between the button and switch.
- I did the hard reset by holding down the power on button for a little over 30 seconds and it came back on!

- Make sure the battery bar at the top of your home screen is completely filled up.
- Amazon was apparently aware of the problem when they released the device.
- I kept holding down the power button maybe 4 times to make sure it was totally discharged.
- Maybe 30 seconds.
- This forum was the only one that gave me the answer I was looking for.
- They said that would take care of it.

The only thing I haven't done is open the Kindle up and do the operation stuff!
