Porsche 944 Injectors Not Working
Thanks! It starts right away.!Any Ideas !!!!Thanks If it runs on starter fluid that means you are not getting fuel, which you already know from the injectors not firing. How do I measure the gap? Takes a fast Meter for any kind of quanitive reading, or just some kind of 'indication jump' with a poor slow Meter. [Harbor Freight grade] 'Princess' of the Inland Empire, this contact form

The idle fluctuates about 250 rpms up and down. Is there anyway to check the fuel pressure other than a gage at the end of the fuel rail? IP Logged gdcran New Member Offline early 1985 944, 5-speed, no turbo.

Harnesses DO go bad, but I believe Grounds go bad FAR more often.

Don't think I would be happy unless the actual pressure was known, we have a 2.5 bar regulator so any place you open the Fuel System should be fairly dramatic. So you think this sensor being busted would definitely keep the injectors from firing?
Can be the DME relay, the DME itself or wiring inbetween. No light means no power. Fix is 4 new (used) injector boots. If this is what you have been doing then the ECU/DME may have cold broken solder joints or bad transistors that control the grounds to the injectors.
- This will be an easy fix, just got to adjust the bracket so I have more clearance.

- Would think connection between two pins (12v both pins) was provided by DME.

- I wish I had thought to mention them to you.
- The tab sets the gap I believe.

I will have to look into the other two things, timing and reference sensor gap. If the fuel check valve was bad would that effect fuel getting to the rail or the pressure? Does anyone know of any common ailments that would cause the ECU (or whatever it is called in a porsche) to completely fail to pulse the injectors like this, while the Everything plastic on them is becoming more brittle every day. What tells the injectors to fire? his comment is here Or just simply switch the plugs and try to start.

Thanks for your help Van.
so I changed the fuel filter...now I have this problem..... as the injector driver(s) in the DME have been known to fail, as have the solder joints inside the DME..And now a quiz question.... Maybe I got something in there when I was working above that area. LED and diode are no problem - this sounds like a nice option.
Easy fix and it will work. Thanks. or trace the leads in the DME).. I took them to a Diesel shop and they cleaned and flow matched them.
