- Your description is still consistent with a faulty relay.
- Press and hold the HRW switch in.
When you press the switch you send 12 volts to the relay/timer, which is then supposed to latch on for a specified length of time (don't know how long because I test the supply fuses test the power supply to the rear heater switch test from the switch output to the relay test for power leaving the relay output test for power Password Register Member Photo AlbumsBlogs FAQ Calendar Experience Saxo Problems & Queries If you're having problems with your Saxo and you're after a bit of advice, check this forum out... Does anyone know how the rear heated window switch is supposed to work on a 1995 peugeot 306? It doen't really matter Ian but what I described was how the button operated on the 1996 1.4 petrol that was here yesterday. I used a multimeter on the screen today, and at the battery side i measured 4.8v and on the ground side I only mesured around 1.5v.

As this is a mechanical action, I don't see how a failed relay can cause the switch to pop fully out (tho' I can see why the lamp would go off). It is not like an older screen with connection at each end.
I had the car jump started last night as the battery was totally flat due to leaving the music on but they worked after i had the car jumped and this use a test light.
